I was trying to convert WAV files to AC3 in ACID but after I load the WAV file the "render to" option under files is dulled out and can't be selected. The AC3 plug-in is installed. Am I trying to do something the plug-in doesn't support? Will the Vegas package do this?

    Hi JDShaffer,

You can use ffmpeggui to do WAV to AC3 2.0 (i.e. 2 channel). It won't do AC3 5.1.

acid and vegas use the same encoder ... you sure you have it installed correctly and that you have registered it ?

contact sony and they can help you with your registration ..

the ac3 surround package is purchased separately from acid ..... it also comes with DVDA
