  1. I have a LifeVeiw TV Tuner card. When I try to capture in VirtualDub, It has started giving me a message saying:
    Video device already in use
You cannot use this device when another video application, such as DVD, video confrencing, video editing, TV veiwers, or WebTV for Windows is already using it.... yadayada.

I click oik, then it brings up Video Source box. I click the Lifeveiw TV Tuner and click OK.

I get: Error 418: Capture device was not detected
Then I get: VirtualDub cannot connect to the desired capture driver. Trying all avalible drivers
Then I get: PANIC: VirtualDub cannot connect to any drivers!

I have had it going a few times. Nohting is using the TV card that I can see. Tried restarting and loading VirtualDub straight away, but the same happens. I reinstalled the TV card drivers. Didnt change. I have win 2000.

I also have win 98 on another hdd and it works fine under this.

If this is a common problem and heaps of new guys like me ask this, just a link to a thread will do me. I know what its like with Newbies coming from maxima.org
