How many hours of tape do you shoot between cleanings?
I've got a JVC with about 15 hours on it and has never been cleaned.

Hello-I don't clean mine until I see some image degradation, usually something like "snow". Since I'm using an abrasive cleaning cassette(the wet cleaning ones set off the camera's moisture sensor), I like to keep cleanings to a minimum. You should get at least 200 hours from a set of recording heads.

Both Sony and Panasonic recommend cleaning heads around 50 hours of use.

I have never cleaned the heads on my Pansonic camera. They have never got dirty, why, I don't know.
Id recommend only cleaning them, when you have a visable probem, as the head cleaners are a litltle hard on the heads. -
On my Sony, I clean it once every 20 hours of recorded footage or like Lordsmurf said, When I see a problem.

SO you guys use an abrasive cleaning cassette.
I just got a 1987 Panny Sat. and although it seems to work well I could see a large difference in quality between recording to tape or direct to the ATI AIW with the line out (which avoided the tape altogether)
