Does any one know of a program that will allow you to keep track of how many hours a PC has been running ?
It would keep track of how many hours a PC has been on, then when it has been shut off for the night, then turned back on the next day it will start keeping track again from where it left off when turned off.
So if i ran it for 8 hours the 1st day, then ran it 6 hours the 2nd day, then 10 hours the 3rd day, then when i turn it on the fourth day it will show the PC has been running 24 hours up to that point and keep going.
I tried searching google and really did not find anything, but i may have been wording the request incorrectly....
And this place is usually better than google so....
Thanks for anything, even if it is a pay program.

Well, it's easy enough to find out how many consecutive hours/days a computer has been running because in the IT world that's all we care about. I've got a bad feeling you're going to find out that your request is really another one of what I call "I want to do something that nobody else in the world does, so why doesn't software exist to allow me to do it?" requests. This is really not a very complex task though. There are programmers on the internet who farm themselves out for hire on various websites. This would be easy money for anyone who wanted to do the work. I would suggest that they not use a short integer to hold the data though as in theory if the PC lasts long enough it could exceed that value.

Ummm.... okay.....
LOL!!
I was just wondering if there was a program that would show how many total hours a PC has been running and you could bring up to check at any given time.
Something that you could either just double click on to bring up a program/counter or a counter that would always run on the desktop, kind of like a framerate display for when you play games, or how fast your graphics card fan is running, etc.
I never needed to know something like this before, nor really cared, so i would not think it was something no one else has ever done before, but i thought i would just ask.....
No need to make it overly complicated
Compared to all the other software/programs out there, I would think this would be an easy program to make....
So it would be something commonly available. -
Piriform Speccy is a utility that shows what's on your PC, click on Hard Drives and it will show power on count and hours.

Google turned up this http://www.pointstone.com/products/pcusageviewer/
Task manager will tell you how long a computer has been running since it was turned on, although based on what I saw, I don't think the time it spends sleeping is included. Open Task Manager, click on the Performance, and look at "Up Time". -
cmd then type Systeminfo
will tell you last boot.
that if you wanna keep it simple.
bah actually read op lol..but google says what quiet said:
