Anyone else had this problem?
Bulkpaq DVD -R (also had same with Datawrite a while ago)
Pioneer DVD105 & NEC2500A
DVD Decrypter and DVDShrink
Every now and then...
DVD plays fine then starts to break up in the last five minutes of a film to the point were it actually freezes up and stops. This has occurred on playback with a Toshiba 210 and my newer Panasonic DMR-D50
Take out the DVD and put in the PC and the problem chapter plays fine immediately (I get to see the end of the film!) - put it back in the domestic and it pixelates etc. Playing the problem chapter straight off in the domestic player the next day and it plays fine!
So basically, it seems that when the disc gets warm the picture breaks up in a domestic player but will continue to work in a PC.
Any ideas? Is it poor quality control with the media?

Hi and welcome to the forums
most will say it bad media but try using the search feature and look for 'skipping', 'freezing' and 'pausing' and you will see numerous threads from each search that will give you many answers
try putting the DVD in when the standalone has been of for ages and then skip right to the end where the issue started. If it's still there then I doubt it's the player getting warm
