avi file with xvid mpeg 4 codec has flashing screen

hi

i have a avi file wich has a flashing screen,the movie runs great but it has
a transparent white like flashing over it.

i check if i had the correct codec install,it said xvid mpeg-4 and i had it installed
all media players have the same screen problem

only VirtualDub seems to play the avi file with out the white flashing in it.

can someone maybe help me with this problem i would appreciate it

just curious, have you tried using videolan player?

the media player did indeed play the movie file without the white flashing

now i only have to find a encoder that does the same because all my encoding software has the same problem
