Wow, did you just lay it on the chopping block. I hope Foo and Capmaster have the day off.
Hello. -
WTF? Last time I checked noob's were fair game! 8)
I don't care one way or the other, I don't ever look at noob posts anyway. A person can only tollerate so many "what's better DVD+R or DVD-R?" questions before losing complete interest in noob posts...."Terminated!" :firing: -

Technically, it's also a cross post since the same exact text is in here:
https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=991488#991488 -
I try to help the new guy as much as i can... Its just that certain topics (and im certain other "veterans" will agree), will just lead to endless follow-up questions...
Example:
"I want to convert this downloaded file to watch on my DVD player!"
"What sort of file is it?"
"I dunno, I just downloaded it, my mate said I can convert it"
"So it's an AVI file..."
"I dunno , it plays in windows media player ok"
and you know from here its time to click "stop watching this topic" -
IGNORE is a great way of dealing with people...
if you see NOOB questions, just IGNORE...
if you think this is a NOOB post, then IGNORE this post :P ...
let's see those who will flame this posts...i think those are the person im talking about...people who have nothing POSITIVE or CONSTRUCTIVE TO SHARE...hacking the Net using typewriter :D -

I mean give me a ******* break, there are literally 100's of guides to walk even the blind through the valley of death. The search button is pretty self explanitory as well. Hell if a newbie wants me to walk him through the process step by ******* step, then why not just FEDex it to me and I'll do it for you. And I might as well do it for you because walking you step by step does not teach you how to do it on your own. It teaches you how to duplicate a process from memory and when an issue arises, the newbie will be right back here wanting someone to hold your hand through the process again. Ever heard of rationalization and deduction skills? How about thought? I have to wonder how some of these newbies even learned how to set up a internet account to find this website in the first place. Do you suppose they typed "video help" into the google search box?? That's high likely hood...so they do know how to work the search box
I have went to great lengths before helping newbies and I have shown remarkable patience in explaining every minute step in the process...clear down to "now a box will pop up and ask you if you want to save the new IFO files...click "Save"". What pisses me straight off is when the Newb asks a question, you give him THE answer and he says "that's not it." or the newb asks for help, you explain it to him and he disagrees with you. Either of those 2 comments get the: "You need to keep it straight on who is asking who for help. I know what the **** I am doing." If you are a newb and you are asking questions you best be respectful of those trying to help you.
Doing a quick search of your posts, it seems that you have not posted any flamed topics in a while. So if your tirade is somehow a manifestation of your irritation over the "flaming newbies" T-shirt design that I did. I think it would be easier on you to read my signature and let go of your stress...because I don't care if you like it.
On a side note: I don't know if it works the same for streaming audio, but sound files that play through explorer are saved in your temporary internet files. Since streaming audio is not technically a file (such as mp3 or wav, etc) I believe it is still saved in your temporary internet files or your temp folder. It will have some kind of cracked out name like _23f0000.wav or something. I'm sure there is a program out that allows you to capture it straight away though. If you can't find one here, try checking www.doom9.net -

Like one of the mods, or maybe Baldrick (I forget who) said, this board is a free exchange of ideas. if you get a response that helps, be greatful, if you ask a stupid question and get flamed, big freakin' deal, you didn't pay for it.

First of all, who in the hell are you to come in here screaming at people telling anybody what to do?
Secondly, yours is one of the most arrogant, completely useless posts I've ever come across on this board. At least the newbie posts serve as amusment for me. I'll be damned if I don't still laugh every time I see a "Can I make my DVD impossible to copy?" post.
I haven't quite figured out if you are the world's best drunk typist or just a complete psycho. My vote is on the latter. Either way, I (and the majority of this forum's users) live in as free country. I'll post anything I want and there isn't one damn thing you can do about it. Nothing. If I am out of line the Moderators will let me know. Remember them? The people who ARE actually in charge of things around here.
This concept is obviously as foreign to you as common sense is to the RIAA, I'm going to spell ot out for you: R-E-S-P-E-C-T Respect is something that is earned not demanded. You can scream all you want. As you can see it's not going to do you any good.
Do us all a favor. Between now and the time when you finally snap and go postal, take your useless ass to a forum where everybody doesn't think you're a joke. If you can find one. -
Just thought I would weigh in on this. If you are truly a aspiring videophile or whatever, there are lots of patient people that will help you out, even though the guides and other resources are there plain as day.
However, if you are a hack noob that has just come here to exploit the members of the forum, that is something different.
I can cite two examples of noobs dissing this forum. The first is some noobs that want to come in here and learn how to be dvd copiers and be able to go down to blockbuster, rent 20 movies, copy them and give them out to their friends. I have seen long time members help these people out and then the noobs are gone or flame the forum cause they aren;t coming back.
The second instance was some absolute jack@ss who came on here, got help and then took the guides and other info right off here, changed a few words and was gone trying to start a business and make a buck off a lot of people's hard work. I guess the work here is open for all to enjoy and its probably hard to stop someone from stealing it, but I gotta say that is low.
So as you can see, noobs don't exactly have the best reputation on here.
And as far as all of us being a noob at one time or another, that is true, the difference is, I and some others spent 9 months lurking and learning and reading before we got on the forum. When you register and post a simple question minutes later, it certainly seems like you didn't try very hard. Learning and helping are one thing...being spoonfed is another. -
