True we were all newbies at one time. Difference is most of us weren't the "Urgent help needed" "What's the best way" noobies.

I never post someplace until I have half a clue about what I am asking. So I consider that I am never a noob. I also started out at places that would give you an intense work over for doing stupid shit! You learned fast how to behave. In those places noobs got banned like there was no tomorrow, just for being stupid.

Now if these STUPID - LAZY - ARROGANT - SELF IMPORTANT (redundant?) FUCKERS would take a little time to sort through some topics, and maybe try 3 or 4 combinations of words in a search, they would be able to find everything their GREEDY little hearts desired. There is very little ground that has not been covered here, twice.

I think we need a way to stop receiving PM for members, just PM from Mods and Admins. Even when you do ignore all the stupid bastards, they come and haunt you via PM, and then get all pissed when you ignore their PM. I had one about 2 weeks ago that got a rude reply after I received a pissed off second PM... "well you could have at least replied and said...". I politely replied, with the derived meaning being **** YOU! I even explained why I didn't reply, and quoted the part of the referenced post where I said don't bother me with shit like this! Please if anything comes from this latest round of noob bashing bullshit, let it be PM blocking from all normal level members.

I have not posted much here because I have been able to learn much of what I need by reading the guides and looking through the forum for things that might help me in this crazy hobby that we all are a part of. The few times I have asked a question I have received very good imput and have been fortunate to be able to help others out a few times as well. The "noobs" that ask stupid questions usually are looking for a quick and easy fix and then move on to other things. The new people that are truly interested in video as a hobby are going to do their homework before asking questions and they are going to ask questions that do not insult the intellgence on the members of the forum that have put in all the hard work to learn their craft. Video capture and editing takes a lot of work and a sizeable investment to do it right. If I want to do something easy I just transfer to my set top DVD recorder and I'm done. If I want a finished product that I want to show my family and friends and be proud of I put the time, effort, and do my homework to make sure I do it right. The best part of this forum is if I don't have the answer I can search, read guides, and ask questions to get the information I need.
