is the file playable on a different player?
what exactly are you trying to do with the file using virtualdub?
if you're just trying to demux the audio, it should still work regardless of the error. -
i want to demux the audio but i also want to do a framerate conversion with the video to change 23.976fps to 25fps.

c'mon someone must know. anybody know how i can save the xvid video in the ogm to .avi?
-
I believe even though it has that error you can still go under
File------->Save As------->Then change the setting at the bottom to Direct Stream Copy and you should be able to save the Xvid portion. -
Skip frames until it can be read. At the first readable frame, set this as the mark in point.
VDub has a problem reading the first B frame, which is wrong, as no file should start with a B frame, means it was cut incorrectly.Linux _is_ user-friendly. It is not ignorant-friendly and idiot-friendly. -
For what you are trying to do don't worry about it. Process the film just like you would.
If you want to read more about Bframe lag look at this post and this post.
