  1. Ok... I need help... I have been on this for 3 days. I am using dvd shrink, No problem. Then it uses nero, Everything works. I take the disc out and see that the circle in the middle is 2 times the normal size. ( Which is probably about 2 millimeters ) It wont read in either one my players. I was able to do it about 6 months ago. Cant figure it out, but I think its a nero problem. Has anyone else had this problem? Do I have an option selected wrong? I have alreday went through 6 disc! Need Help! Thanks!

I use DVD Shrink and Nero 6 without any problems. From the sound of it, you may have some very very crappy media.

First, try some good media and see if it works. Also, download program updates and patches from nero.com just in case that is the problem.

  5. Nope, Think I am giving up... Wasted all weekend on this and made more coasters then starbucks. Tried different dvds.... NOTHING! Still the same burn. I dont know how and why it worked before. I even tried 3 different programs for burning. I dont know how many times I tried to burn it different ways, and how many web sites I been on. But I am spent....

  6. Do they play in your PC player? What model is your standalone?

I had the same problems until I filled the discs up to 4.37GB then my Philips player would finally recognize them. Now all is well. I create another ditectory in Nero called "PAD" and fill it with whatever, usually digital pics as a backup.

    Your mileage may vary.
Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin'

I suggest you go to the store, and buy a small pack of MAXELL DVD-R. These seem to be on sale in many places and are some of the best media money can buy. Try to burn your movies on those. Try 4x, and 2x, even 1x. See if you continue to have the same problems. I believe that if even the Maxells come out as coasters, then you can safely rule out media as the issue.
