  1. Hi Guys

I'm trying to back up a film and I keep getting this Nero error:

Backup file 'VTS_04_0.BUP' should be identical to 'VTS_04_0.IFO'

    Any way around this?

    Thanks

    Paul

  2. The but file must be the same as the ifo (the buo it's a backup of the ifo file).

To correct this problem simply copy the VTS_04_0.ifo ass VTS_04_0.bup

yes - but this could indicate a problem - if you changed one of the vob files or video_ts.ifo this could mean a non-playing dvd... if you're sure youn didn't change anything do as was said above - if not - see what you changed and/or use ifoupdate tool.

  4. Hi guys

Thanks tried copying the IFO and it worked but now I get this error

video-ts.vob is not referenced and should not be present.

If I remove that file I then get VTS_01_1.VOB is not present

All my Vob files start with VTS_04_0.VOB, VTS_04_1.VOB and so on any ideas?

Delete all the backup files and rip again, use a different ripper, dvd decryptor or dvdshrink.

I have burned the TS folder to a DVD and it works well on my computer but not in a stand alone player.

Best thing to do is reauthor the vob files.

  9. If you mean reauthor with dvd shrink it will not let me, keeps coming up with errors. Is there any way of burning the vobs to allow me to watch the film on a stand alone dvd player?

have you tried ifoupdate? i haven't personally used it but heard some good things about it... what your problem is that if your vob files are there - your ifo files doesn't recognise them - doesn't have them listed inside the ifo file - which means that your player won't know that they exist - search in the tools and guides how to re-author if you only have .vob files...
