    Came to use this program again today after a few weeks of not needing it..splash screen comes up, but the program doesn't start..I've made no alterations to my installation since I last used it, so is this something being done by the program writers again?

    If you are using the Demo version, it may have expired.

    No. There may have been a change to your system. If you double click on the SVCD2DVD demo.exe file in the SVCD2DVD folder you can redo the registration process. This should solve the problem.
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

    Solved mine.. It happened again for some reason, but this fixed it..
