    I have a simple question, when converting from divx to mpeg using TMPGENC the text in the 'Status-bar' changes to 'Illegal Video-CD PAL (MPEG-1 352x288 25fps CBR 1246kbps, Layer-2 44100Hz 128kbps)' What does this mean?

    Those aren't compliant PAL VCD settings.

    If you want to make a compliant VCD, make sure that you load the correct template.

    Well, I _did_ load the PAL template, but when I start the project in TMPGENC it changes to 'Illegal...'

    You've loaded the wrong PAL template, that's and xvcd, in the directory one up there's another PAL template, the bitrate needs to be 1150
