I have been converting home wovies to wmv so that all of the relatives can view the movies via the web. I suppose i could take the time to reconvert to quicktime format but I was wndering if there is an app or method of enabling a Mac to view WMV.

    Thanks in advance,

    VC

    Windows Media Player, VLC

They both play the format, WMP handles it better than VLC though

MplayerX can also play certain wmv files. Altogether, you should be able to view pretty much any wmv.

They don't. You'll have to download and install it. You might also want to add VLC and MplayerX. Might add RealPlayer while you're at it.

All the ones I've seen it comes with the free version installed. But if they are custom built, then it's up to the builder to install.
