  1. I attempting to put 5 hour episodes of a tv show on dvd using TMPGEnc DVD Author but it stops at about 30 % with an error saying it is going to make the dvd to big or whatever. This is usually not a problem considering i will just use DVD Shrink 3.1 to make it all fit........ what route do you all feel i should take to fix this......

    the individual episode sizes are:

    M2V File: 2.46 GB

    AC3 File: 60.6 MB

You can't fit five 2.46 GB files on a DVD.

You could reencode the video at a lower bitrate. At least get them somewhat nearer the 4.37GB total allowed on a DVD-R.

Maybe TMPGenc doesn't like the 13GB file you are trying to create.

I generally get TMPG to write an oversize ISO file to my hard drive and just click past the messages saying it is too large Then I get DVD Shrink to shrink it.

I have never had TMPG refusing to go any further with this method.

  5. The biggest to date I've did was 11+G. Author warned me ( ) but I didn't care, I shrunk it later....

If the program is stopping at 30% then I would suspect a problem with one of the files...... That's where I'd start looking anyway.
    Good luck.
