If you are using explorer, File>Import and Export, then save to a floppy. To reinstall, same place. Most browsers have a similar function.

Although you didn't ask this question, you might want to "relocate" your favorites to a more convenient location for ease of update, and so you can back them up very easily (of course, redwudz suggestion is always good for that). To officially change your favorites location (and some other default locations), do the following:

    Run Regedit
    Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USERS\Software\Microsoft\Windows\
    CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellFolders
Double click on the Favorites in the right panel
Change it to what you want (like C:\Favorites)
    Click OK
Do the same thing in User Shell Folders a few lines down
    Close Regedit

Move your favorites to C:\Favorites (example)

Your Favorites are usually under Cocuments and Settings\Your User Name\Favorites

  5. you can just save the "Favorites" folder (should be located in documents and settings under your username) then when you reformat just go to documents and settings folder select user and then move the Favorites folder you saved there and overwrite the default Favorites folder

i do this all of the time, it works with no problems and really easy to get your favorites back, hope this helps

    alright
