Hello I trying to upload some dvd video to my website in segments. What is a good program to convert the dvd to the right format and then cut it into segments?

Flash video, cut out what you want from the dvd with for example dvdshrink in reauthoring mode or use virtualdubmpeg2 as yoda says. Then upload to youtube or convert to flash and publish on your own site, https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=315188 . Or google for "dvd to flv" for several all-in-one shareware tools.

You could also convert to wmv and publish on your site, cut out what you want with dvd shrink, videoredo. Convert the vob/mpg to wmv with windows movie maker, windows media encoder or automkv.

Does mpeg 4 files play online cause I can't get it to work. Are .swf and .flv the only files that can play online? My other question is if I raise the bitrate will that increase the quality.
