I'm using dvd author and have a warning
came up...The Video Gop is to long, i read
in a guide you wont know if your software
will do this till you try, then it tells you what
to do if it does.
If i ignore this what effect would this have in
my final DVD?
THANKS

I've had that happen a couple times. I ignored it and burned the final disk to a RW disk to test it. It still works in all my standlone players (and in software players).

Open the video in a bitrate viewer and see for yourself (may be a TDA hoax). NTSC DVD GOP is 18 frames max, PAL 15. If it's true, you'll be authoring at your own risk. It may work or not (some players are more tolerant than others).

When you convert from SVCD, this is a common problem. Outside of reencoding, I don't know how to fix. I ignore the GOP size and it has always worked. May be some players that don't like it.

I thought there may have been a risk, i checked
the box for my next clip, i'll let you know what happens.
I'm also checking out the birate viewer....
