  1. I just spent ~$50 on a japanese Kill Bill Vol. 1 and wanted to make a backup or two just in case. After making the first one I accidently deleted the original rip and figured "No problem, I'll just backup the backup, should be faster" but DVD Decrypter is giving me errors on the backup. There's no way the disc is scratched or damaged as it hasn't even been out of the burner for 10 seconds.

I had the same problem trying to backup an out of print Suicide Kings a little while ago. I tried DVDShrink and ISOBuster and they both errored too. Any ideas what's going on?

(Other backups work just fine, it's just a few every now and then that error)

  2. try copying and pasting the files from the dvd to your hd.
if that doesn't work, you may be working with a bad disk or bad burn.

  3. Looks like a bad burn. I checked a couple more and it seems to be happening randomly on backups I make, though I always do it the same way (DVD Decrypter -> DVD2One -> Nero 6).

Any ideas how to avoid it in the future?
