I get that all the time with both my LG-4163 and LG-H22L on 2 different computers. Those burners don't like many of the +RW discs I use. Try another program like DVD Fab Decryptor or maybe rip the disc on another computer (my friend's LG-H11 will rip the +RWs that mine won't touch).....

PS It could also be a scratch or dirty disc. Clean it before you rip it...

Hmmm....could also be dirt on the laser lense. Try blowing it out with compressed air.

Never use compressed air as you can damage the lense.

To tRAVALO:The disc that you're trying to rip could be dirty with smudges or scratches. Some dvd burners are better readers than OPTIARC drives. I believe the OPTIARC drives are made by a collaboration of NEC & SONY which are known to have poor reader capabilities.

Hopefully DVDFAB DECRYPTER will be able to rip the files for you. If not then try cleaning the disc or use another computer to rip the files. Or use a different dvd burner.

"Never use compressed air as you can damage the lense."

I've always either just blown into the case slot or used one of those compressed air cans on the comp hardware and the optical drives. This is now going on over 10 years. The lense in most of the drives now is a piece of plastic which is why I don't recommend using cleaner discs or liquids. Lucky? Over 10 years? Nah! practical experience though...

Still doesn't solve the problem I have with the 2 LG drives that won't rip some discs regardless of the program on 2 comps but using a friend's brand new Dell with a 3rd LG drive it works perfectly....

    Hmmmm.....
