  1. I have an OGM file with XVID video and ogg audio. I want to convert it to VCD-MPEG-1. With Directshow filter on highest priority, TMPGEnc can open the ogm fine. But, it will convert it without the subtitles, which is unacceptable. In VirtualDubMod, I can demux the the ogg audio track I want and the .srt subtitle file. Then , I add it with the filter that comes with VobSub, and try to frameserve. When i try opening file.vdr.avi, TMPGEnc gives me the 'can't open/unsupported' message. When I try saving to an uncompressed RGB Avi the file plays incorrectly (it's all green) and also TMPGEnc can't convert it correctly.

I have ffdshow installed, and the DiVX 5 codec, but with either handling XViD files, I get the same problems...
    What is wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

hmmmm... your method in the other thread worked... but why? if the subs are in a separate file, and in directvobsub the subs are set to off, why should they become permanent? I've converted many ogms and mkvs b4, and the method i posted in that same thread has always worked for me, however that was on a differnet pc, mus have had it set up differently....

    thanks for your help

  5. heh, I don't know how or why it works, I just know that it does, which is good enough for me. I've converted countless anime's this way and it hasn't failed me yet.
