whenever I try to convert I ALWAYS end up with the japanese track in the AVI but I want the english track as audio

IS there a converter that lets me choos which audio track it will encode to the AVI file???? if so tell me name and give me link

    thanks

One way to do it is to delete the audio stream/track that you don't want (backup your file, first), before feeding it to your converter. For OGM, you can use VirtualDubMod, go into the Streams List, then disable the audio track. If you want, you can also change the compression settings and have VDubMod save the video to an AVI (most OGMs I've seen are usually just an Xvid-compressed AVI video stream with separate Ogg-format audio streams.)

For MKVs, I believe you can use MKVMerge, from the mkvtoolnix pack.
