  1. i used dvd decrypter to rip the entire The Matrix dvd into ISO mode.

then i used daemon tools to mount the 7GB ISO onto drive G: (virtual drive).

next, i used dvd copy to transcode. the source was drive G:, the destination was my desktop.

as it transcodes, i see a MOVIE folder, then VIDEO_TS folder inside it, then the normal dvd files inside VIDEO_TS. (IFO,BUP,VOB,etc).

then when dvd copy finishes transcoding, everything inside the VIDEO_TS folder is DELETED, EMPTY!!

ive done this 3 times, why does dvd copy delete everything inside the video_ts folder?

    thanks

  2. Hope this helps, found it at doom9.

    dvd copy
After transcoding your dvd to HD intervideo dvd copy is going to parse the files (takes about 4 minutes)in those 4 minutes you select all files and make them read only. when dvdcopy is done the files are not gone.

Intervideo does not want you to save the decrypted files to your harddrive. I believe it has to do with legality issues.

  3. Intervideo's dvd copy express (the new barebones version sold at Sam's club) does NOT delete the original VIDEO_TS contents.

I think it is wrong for any software to modify the source data without your permission.
