My quest to capture pal60 and convert to VCD/DVD has improved a little I think!
Using Dscaler and my TV capture card I can at last get the video on to my PC in colour and a reasonable quality.
However it seems that the only way to do this without drastically affecting quality is to leave standard settings in Dscaler at a Pixel width of 720.
I have tried then using virtualdub to resize but this seems to really affect quality and also for some reason causes some audio lag.
Avoiding the resize stage by burning with Nero Vision Express with a high bitrate is successful but of course with a 720x240 image.
I have successfully used virtualdub to capture and then crop output, but got better quality with the direct Dscaler.
It needs a new mind on this - any ideas?
