  1. Is there an Authorizing tool that will allow me to create a motion menu that is 30 seconds long, but play an audio file which is 2 minutes long? Every tool I've tested automatically restarts the audio file when the motion-menu video (30 seconds) loops.

Better yet, an Authoring tool that will continually (seemlessly) play the audio file, uninterrupted, as the user moves from menu to menu.

Please help. So far I'm unable to find one to do this.
The cheaper the better, but I'm open to spending up to $500.

Thanks in advance for your help,
    MF

I might be wrong, but I was under the impression that the program will render the menu to the length of the video clip.

This means that it will interleave the audio, so you only get the first 10 (or however many you choose) seconds of the audio file.

    Many Thanks,

  3. Yes, that is correct.

If possible, I would like to get the song to play independent of the video clip. For instance, I have an image with clouds moving in the background. The clip lasts 30 seconds. The audo, which is a song, starts over with the video.

Is there tool which can play these independent so the song continues as the video loops?

    Thanks for your response...

Sorry, I wasn't as clear as I could be.

The program will render the Menu as a video clip, as long as the background video, just adding the audio to it.

So if the Video clip is 30 seconds long, then it will create a video clip 30 seconds long with the sound added to it.

Maybe you could join the video clip to itself, so if the video clip is 30 seconds long and the audio file is 2 minites long, join 4 of the video clips together.

I hope that makes sense now...

    Paul.

Have you tried to loop your video with an editing software so that video lasts for 2 minutes?

    I second this.
    If in doubt, Google it.

and I think having seamless audio from menu to menu is not available under the dvd specification - it's not an authoring-software issue, it's a "we didn't think of this when we defined what a 'dvd' is" issue.

  9. MrRalphman and Sugar...Great idea!

    Thanks so much.

I searched through many DVD Authoring tools and finally ran out of ideas. I feel like an idiot for not thinking of that.....

    Thanks again...

Correct. In the current DVD Spec there is no audio buffer to cater for this (and even the video buffer is woefully inadequate, really).

    Arky ;o)

Yes, the DVD-Video spec will NOT support this independent type of setup.
DVD-Audio will support user-advanceable stills with independent running audio, though. It's called "Audio-Still-Video", IIRC. But, even there, no motion video.
