I recently purchased 100 of the Ritek Ridata DVD-R to use with my Phillips DVD+RW DVD8601 and when trying to burn with Nero, Shrink DVD, and DVD Decrypter none of the programs recognize the disk. Now I used all three of the programs with the same Phillips drive using Verbatim DVDs and they worked fine. Any clues? Maybe a new firmware out there? I can easily return the DVDs but would like to keep them because I got 100 of them for $39 shipped.
Thanks

Well after looking around I found that link on the Dell site (yes, I use a Dell) and I am an idiot. It wont write to dvd-r. Well at least I have a 30 day return on he disks but that sucks -
Hey, anyone know a good dvd+rw disk to use with the phillips dvd8601? Someone recommended Verbatim which does wotrk but does not play on my PS2. Someone else recommended TDK but they are so damned expensive and I dont know if they work on my ps2 or not? I need one that works with the phillips 8601 and play on the playstation. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
