I've just upgraded to version 8.8 of ATI's MMC and when I attempt to capture it tends to shut down after 2 or 3 minutes. I never did any capturing with version 7.5 so I don't know it this is a problem inherent in 8.8 or if it would have happened with other versions as well. I've updated all the drivers and am stumped as to what the problem could be. When it shuts down I get one of those Windows messages saying that the program has to shut down (ATIMMC.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.) so I assume there may be a conflict of some kind but have now idea what the conflict could be. I have tried with the One Touch Record button as well as just letting it record with no time constraint. Can anyone offer any advice or insight as to the problem and it's possible solution. Thanks.

By the way, I'm trying to capture in MPEG 2 format.

    Thanks, Lordsmurf
I'll take your advice if I can figure out where to get it. From my visit to ATI, although I just took a very quick look, I could only find version 8.8. Any clues where to get 8.7?

    EDIT....
Okay, thanks for the help; I managed to find it and I'll see how it works. Thanks again, Lordsmurf.

    A little more information:
With version 8.7 I still have a problem with MMC crashing, however I notice that it does not happen if I capture to AVI. It does happen with MPEG. Anyone have an idea why this is?
