Hi. I am making a DVD and I downloaded some trailers that I can put onto the DVD as extras. :P The trailers are in standard VCD format, which is 352x240. Is it possible to put it on the DVD?

Also, is there a program that can play small clips like this via a still menu where you click on a picture/button, and the clip plays? Then after it finishes playing, the menu you were once on pops up again?

Yes, you can use 352x240 if it is 29,97 fps.

TMPGenc DVD Author or DVD lab can import it and also convert the audio to standard dvd audio(48khz).

  5. As an aside you sometimes need to demux the MPG and re-encode the audio to 48khz. There's a max supported bitrate for MPEG1 video (but I forget what it is ) and there's some debate about the resolution. 352x240 is supported, but 352x480 and 720x480 might be supported too. In any event, they work on most standalones...

The max supported bitate is 1.856Mbps for mpeg1 on DVD.

There is no debate at all about the supported resolution for mpeg1 on DVD. The only supported resolutions are 352x240 and 352x288.

352x480/576, 704x480/576, and 720x480/576 are only supported when using mpeg2. 352x240/288 can be used with either mpeg1 or mpeg2.
