I have a panny e50 and I can't figure out why when I play a DVD it will not go to 480p on my tv set (Mitsubishi 55" ws) only 480i. I unplugged my S-Video and have Component Cables (Red/Blue/Green) connect to my panny. Reading the Manual it says to press display then video, and according to the manual you can turn on progressive mode there but I don't see it on my menu. I unplug the component cables and plug them into my Pioneer and I'm able to get 480P. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
MagnumJoe

Go to the setup button then go to video out hit enter again and set the rgb componet out to 480p easy I did it with my e80 and panny hdtv ready monitor. And finally you cannot get 480 p with the s video cable only with the red/green/blue component video cables..
