  1. hello i was looking around and i couldnt find anything about changing 4:3 to 16:9. See what i did was i have to AVI files and there in 4:3 and i want to change it to wide screen. Is there any programs i could use? If you guys could help me i would appreciate it. Thank you.

    AFAIK, AVIs don't have DAR - they are neither 4:3 nor 16:9. MPEG2 does have this property, tho...

  3. So i cant change it into somthing similar like wide screen? or its just going to be full screen.

    Specs on the AVI? Yes you can encode it widescreen, assuming the original AVI is of sufficient quality (which is doubtful). 2 CD DivX or larger only, don't bother with a 700 MB file....

  5. You could always crop it into 16x9 frame and re-encode it in something like TMPEGenc, however you would probably hack everyone's heads off in the process...
