  1. I just got this capturing thing hooked up to my computer. I have a Radeon Ultra 64mb. I hooked it up to my vcr and it plays on my monitor. When I try to capture, it only saves the captured file in mp2 format. Is there a plugin or another freeware program that will let me change my mp2 to another format that tmpgenc uses? please respond thanks.

  2. Are you using MMC? MMC only let you capture video in Mpeg format. I use Virtualdub can capture video in AVI format, it's a freeware with lots of feature. but you must setup a WDM capture device for your ATI capture card.

    Videomax,

I'm assuming from your post that you have an ATI card of some sort. What codec do you use when you capture through Virtualdub?

  6. MMC 7.1 supports avi captures.

  7. The mp2 file is a mpeg 2 file just rename it and it will be fine in tmpg. And MMC does allow avi capture.
