Pioneer AO6U Clone DVD

I just bought this burner and I tried to use Clone DVD but when I try to burn the file after its done it says Warning failed to read DVD it says the media might be damaged but it's a brand ne Verbatim DVD-RW.My program ANYDVD also goes from colored dark red to light red and says zero slots are on but I changed it to put the drive on so it would burn it before I attempted to burn it.

Can you play a DVD from the Pioneer 06? The message your getting may mean your drive is defective and cannot read DVD's.

Yes I am able to watch DVD's on the drive.

I just tried to burn a dvd with DVD X COpy Express and after the program ripped the DVD and said to insert the DVD it came up with the same warning.

when I insert a blank disc it says A blank cd/DVD has been inserted in to drive D
Please select yes to format this disc as UDF disc

Please select no if you plan to use this disc with your mastering program

Note:If you do not format the media,it may appear in Explorer, but it will be empty and locked though yu can still use it with your mastering application

Is there anyway this could be the media cause nero doesn't read any media when the disc is in.

Dude, WTF do you have installed that keeps offering to format the disc for you? Get that shit out of there! INCD, DirectCD, whatever it is, ******* kill it.

The only thing I have installed is what came with the writer. I don't have INCD or DIrectcd.

Ay least three burning programs have returned the same message. Your drive is defective and you should return it. I use Verbatim in my 06 without problems and I burn with Nero. I flashed my 04 with 1.41 firmware which killed the 04,it was returning the same message your getting. It would sometimes play a DVD,but it would never rcognize DVD-R for recording. The 04 would burn CDR's. Will your 06 burn a CDR?
