  1. When the burning prosses is ready Nero says that it is an illegal mode for this track. Have have tried to change every single option, and sometimes it's working. But i can't find any system for wich options that makes it don't work.
I have also tried with having the same settings on two different video files, and sometomes one of them is working but the other one is not. But I have converted them in the same program (TMPGEnc) with the same setings.
    Please help me!

    /Johannes

  2. Nero is crap. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten an error message from that stupid program. It's always something different too. The only reason I like Nero is cuz it write cd text for audio which my stereo reads. Ive tried using Roxio for vcds but I dont like it. I dont know what other program does cd text for audios otherwise I'd just get rid of Nero all together.

  3. Nero is crap.
LOL, dont listen to this guy, he obviously doesnt know how to use the program

OK, what type of file are you burning? VCD, SVCD, DVD, AVI? Make sure you have it in the right mode (VCD for VCD, SVCD for SVCD, DVD VIDEO for DVD, and "ISO" mode for AVI)

If this isnt your problem....I need more info

I know how to use the rogram thank you. It was working fine until it started giving me error messages for every other file. It's messed up several cdrs. Ive tried burning an audio cd in a different program and it worked just fine. So yes Nero IS crap.

Nero generally works pretty well - you may have had a bad experience because the version you had was buggy with your particular setup.

Given the right settings and situation, Nero is excellent. It does not mean it is crap fullstop.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    Cut it out.

Anyway, try and burn it with CopyToDVD if you are trying to burn a DVD video. I tried once with nero and it screwed up each time, and then when i used copytodvd, it worked perfectly. If you are using another format (VCD, SVCD, etc...) then i dont know what the problem is - Nero should burn vcd formats easily - it has for me!

For (S)VCD: Author with VCDEasy (last free version). If possible, use VCDEasy to burn too, or else just create the CD image (cue/bin) and burn that with Nero (Not even Nero can fail at burning an image!) or Burnatonce at low speed, like 4x.
For DVD: Author with "any" app. Create image with ImageTool Classic. Burn with DVDDecrypter.
