I am trying to start the SVCD2DVD program but all I get is "Validation Failure due to XMLLoad"

    What does that mean?

I saw a previous post elsewhere and it was suggested to uninstall and re-install the program - which I did and it still gives the same errorr.

And I installed the lastest Dot Net from the link provided on the site.

I am able to open up the other program svcd2dvdmpg (free) but I want to run the demo of this one and see if it will suite my needs..

Well if you download the demo from:

    http://www.svcd2dvdmpg.com/SVCD2DVDMPG/Software/svcd2dvd_demo.aspx

you'll be alright. Why? because the error you describe is associated with the version available to registered users. So either you are a registered users who has forgotton and is now using the demo to see if you should re-register... or you have obtained a copy of the registered version improperly.

    Which is it?

Why go to Easynews to get a copy, If you want to try stuff go to the site where the software comes from....
Or you were looking to save yourself £10 by getting a hacked version....

  9. I figured it out. When I extracted the reg file it was named ZippedFile. Once I changed the name to reg.xml and ran the program again it worked fine.

Actually I figured it out after reading the FAQ. I'm a dumbass.

No thermalundy it is my mistake. I change my zip algorithm and screwed up the name of the file. You're right it should be reg.xml not ZippedFile.

Therefore anyone else who has a file called ZippedFile in the attachment zip should extract the file rename it to reg.xml & then move it to the SVCD2DVD folder.
