Ive been trying to export to tape. I am doing this from my computer, and have edited the video in Adobe Premiere. I then would like to back it up, by transfering it back to a miniDV tape. I have made the video to last some 59min and 20 secs. The camera(sony DCR-TRV50E) says "copy inhibit" when it has recorded 54min and 28 secs. Im using the DV-PAL compression scheme. What is this limitation? Can I do anything about it? Im using 16 bit audio has this any effect on this? The tapes I use can record 62min of video, why is it shorter when I have edited the video and want to put it back on miniDV.
Lastly how do you guys make backups of your edited video?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards Jacob Jensen

    Hi pkk888,

    It may be of use...

I have to confess, I don't know what the message "Copy inhibit" and why it occurs at the time you specify, but it may be as a result of the camera not being able to be recorded onto other than the usual optical use.

    Hope that helps. Good luck...
