Digital Matrix DVD+R 4x with Lite-on 401S

Hi,

I plan to get Digital Matrix branded DVD+r 4x from Meritline.com (100 for $89), but don't know how well is this brand perform on the Lite-on 401S. Please give me some advices before purchase these. Or any cheap DVD+R 4x branded that works on this drive. Thanks.

the media code for the matrix media as of about 2 months ago is
MEDIA ID001
Look up that media code and see what you get.. not sure on your burner, but I got duped with my optorite... can't use it to burn at 4X ... there is not 4X write descriptor so any dvd burner that reads that and sets burn speed will only use it as 2.4X .Visit the meritline forum and look for a compatibility listing for that media... if you buy it and it doesn't work, they won't do a whole lot for you... I spent over 3 weeks to get a whole 5$ back on my order... good luck....
