I just recently got DirecTV and wheever I try to capture it looks fine on my TV but I get huge lines of static going straight down the video, I have tried noise reduction and that doesnt do anything. I was wondering what I can do I am using coaxial cables and that might be the problem. The card does have the rca crap, but whall all would I need and would that help?
I have a Pentium 4 2.4CGhz overclocked too 3.1Ghz
512 ddr ram
Looking for some ideas, it use to work just fine now its just getting worse day by day

I would recommend switching to RCA cables. If your satellite receiver has an RCA output, you can connect that straight to your capture device. If not, youll have to pass it through a VCR and conenct the VCR to your capture device. That should take care of your problems.
If you don't want to go that route, pick up a length of high grade cable (RG6) and try that. It might also help (still recommend using RCA though as you'll get better quality overall over the coaxial).
The problem with using coaxial is that you end up using a modulated signal on either channel 3 or 4. With a modulated signal, you're prone to interference.
Good luck.
