  1. I've converted a DVD to a file (VTS_of_1-oxeo-Video-Mpeg2) and when I convert it to a mpeg 1 the sound is lost half way through. I'm using TMPGEnc. Then I use EO Video program to convert Mpeg 2 to 1. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong. I'm very new to this.
    Thanks

Why not use TMPGEnc to convert it? If it still does not work, you can also load the video into Gold Wave, save it as a wave file. Then load the original video as input video, and the new wave file as input audio

Load the video into TMPGEnc, select File-->Out to file...-->Wave. Then name the wave file and save it. Then use the process I mentioned before.

  5. When I go to TMPGEnc file/open project I do not see a file .tpr. But then I change it to all files and select VTS_05_1-oxeo-Video.mpg.2 and hit open. I then get this message: Illegal Stream Format.
    Thanks

What kind of file did you convert the DVD from? I am not familiar with the type of file format you mentioned.

If it is an MPEG-2 file, try loading it into Virtual Dub mod. If it does load, you can easily frameserve it TMPGEnc.
