I am currently running a 2GHz machine with Windows XP.

My video capture device is a Pinnacle PCTV RAVE pci card.

I am having problems in increasing the resolution above 352 x 288.
When the software which came with the device is run there is an
option to select the resolution. A drop-down allows for selection of
MPEG1 or Miro XL (???). A further drop down allows for a change in resolution.
For MPEG1 this is fixed at 352x288 but for Miro XL you can increase it
above this but only in 3 steps.

This window also has a selection list VCD, SVCD, DVD - but this is
greyed out.

The only problem is that this resolution increase is not stored. When
VirtualDub is run it refuses to accept a resolution increase. A ULead
trial application will throw a cryptic error if the resolution is
set above 352 x 288. In the resolution window 352 x 288 is tagged -
default.

Any suggestions to increase this resolution and keep it there ?
