Does anyone know whether the VirtualDub Dynamic Noise Reduction filter (v2.1) can be used more than once in the filter chain? If so, can it be run consecutively? Right now, I use these filters to clean up my SVHS captures:
DNR 2.1
2D Cleaner
CNR
Temporal Cleaner
but I think that if I were to add another consecutive instance of DNR, I could not only use lower values in each instance of DNR and still get the same or greater NR without the same level of artifacts, but I could reduce the strength of 2D Cleaner and Temporal Cleaner. Hell, maybe I could get a clean enough picture to do away with the dot-spray-dispensing Temporal Cleaner altogether and use something like temporal smoother at a low value (1 or 2).
