    Hey,
I have a couple of .avi's i need to convert to vcd...this is what happens.
I extract the audio using VDub, or the audio decompressor i got with AVI2VCD. Once I decompress, the audio goes out of sync as the movie goes on. I've tried converting to vcd using TMPGEnc, LSX... just acn't seem to get it right.....any suggestions....thanks in advance...Mike

I've found this guide to be a great help for fixing sync problems:

You can also use GoldWave (free, and pretty cool) instead of Sound Forge, or Cool Edit.

theres a little box at the bottom of tmpgencs project wizard that has two options video movie/film movie. i find that what ever these are set to usually determines how synchronized the file wuill be. also ibve notice that with mpegs/mpgs its better to use video movie and with avi/xvid files its better to use film movie...holla back

Well I think i've found my problem. I tried using Vdub-MP3 to search for bad frames and deleted them. Then I decompressed the audio and converted using TMPGEnc. No sync problem. I had originally been using a different version of Vdub, but now it appears all is well. Thanks for your help guys.
