When I try to encode my divx files with TMPGEnc under "Setting-Video" I change the "Stream Type" from MPEG-1 to MPEG-2 and then at the bottom part of the page which was inactive so far suddenly shows up so one can change these settings. Under the "How to convert from Divx to DVD" it doesn't mention this part of how to adjust these settings. The parts which show up are:
1rofile & Level, a variety such as Main profile & Main level
2:Video format, PAL, NTSC and so on
3:Encode mode, shows a variety such as Non-Interlace
4:YUV format, only 4:2:0
5C component precision, shows 8,9,10 bits
Does one have to change these in order to encode to MPEG-2?
Can a MPEG-1 also be played by a DVD player or does it have to be a MPEG-2?
I would appreciate it if you could help me out of it.
