hello there. here i'm posting another question about a different topic

This time it's about audio processing which i got lost in the whole process while reading and trying to figure out what i need.

here is my issue and questions.

I've xbox 360 and a ps3 and i've a set of analogue speakers (creative 5.1) i'm not sure of the model but they are good for the use and have a decent total rms.

I want a sound card that i can connect the audio in to it and it gives out a surround sound.. i am planning on using optical in with the xbox 360 and no idea what to use with the ps3.

from what i understand that i've to use a sound card that has the Dolby Digital/DTS Decode feature available, then while i'm researching i found out there is something called DDL ( dolby digital Live) which encodes/decodes sound from single input to surround output.

i'm kinda lost with all this info and i'd really appreciate the help i can get to understand and buy the best bang for the buck card.

    Thanks guys.

The PS3 supports optical as well.

So you want to connect, via digital connection, your Xbox and/or PS3 to your PC and output surround sound from the digital bitstream ?
