  1. AVI to divX problems.
I'm not sure what the problem is here... i've converted AVI to divX before without a problem. Anyway, I ripped to AVI from a DV camcorder. I'm trying to convert the raw avi's to divX. The raw avi's have amazing quality but they're way too big. So, i've been using VIRTUALDUB to convert. I followed the instructions on the site here but my output file always has lag/pauses. It's not smooth. It's like the video gets stuck. The video pauses but the audio doesn't.

    What am I missing?
Is there any other software i could use instead of VIRTUALDUB?[/b]

  3. Yes they are. I've decided the best way to compress for the web is WMV. It's easy, good compression, no codecs to download, you can pick different resolutions, and most of all, it works.
