To start I'm pretty happy with my DRU-510A! All the DVD's I've written? play fine on my PC, both -R and +R but will not play on my old toshiba SD-3109 so I'm looking for new DVD player to replace my toshiba.
I have read about not being able to change the bookmark on my writer and I guess my qustion is: If I buy a player that plays bothe -r and +R do I need to worry about the bookmark issue?
As the subject line states can someone recommend a good non PC player.![]()

I have 3 Panasonic S35 units (2 at home 1 at work). They play everything I have thrown at them. No problems at all after 6 months. The one at work plays 14 hours a day 7 days a week.
I burn everything on a Sony DRU500AX.Burn Baby Burn

Thanks for your input! I snaged two S35's at a Super Sale for $69.99 and they work great both -R and +R!!! Once more Thanks.
