Sorry if this has been asked before but I want to know the correct resolutions to use for Divx movies.
I want to use a width of 640 for my movies but I want to know the correct height to use in the following situations:-
16:9 (1.78:1)
1.85:1 (or is it the same as 16:9)?
2.35:1
I won't ask for 2.76:1 because it's only been used a couple of times and I don't see too many people on this forum wanting a full screen format of Ben-Hur![]()
Thanks for any replies and please try and avoid just giving me a random link like doom9.org because I can never find exactly what I am looking for.

16:9 (1.78:1) - 640 x 360
1.85:1 - 640 x 346
2.35:1 - 640 x 272
2.40:1 - 640 x 266
2.76:1 - 640 x 232
All of the above are what I use for the different aspect ratios. They are calculated almost exactly to the aspect ratios. I have never heard of 2.76:1, what movies is it in. Also I included 2.40:1 because of Minority Report, Die Another Day etc. -
Years ago there were some experimenting with aspect ratios, the movie Ben-Hur was filmed in 2.76:1, check the technical specs out here http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052618/technical there are some other films in that format but I can't remember them at present.
Anyway thanks very much for those resolutions
