  1. When I ran SVCD2DVD I set to "pick" only certain mpgs, but decided to move the ones I did want to a specific folder... when I went to the folder I moved them to, they were in the following format:
    XXXXX - S0xE0x - XXXXX title.mpg

When I started SCVD2DVD using the mpgs I moved to a specific folder they now have been RENAMED to:
    XXXXX _ S0xE0x _ XXXXX title.mpg

I doubt this is me... maybe something in the program??? I now have 200+ mpgs renamed with the "-" being replaced with an "_"

I even THOUGHT it was me and went and RENAMED all the mpgs I wanted converted\authored to the way they were, but lo and behold the underscores ARE BACK

So to all, is this me or is anybody else seeing this???????

    Thanks!

All filenames/folders which have a hypen are renamed to have an underscore. This is because one of the external programs falls over with files/folders containing hypens.

  3. So from your reply I guess that this is not under your control.....
As much as I appreciate all the work you've done and the response time to my questions.... I would have like to have been aware of this so I could have copied\moved the files I wanted to work with... After looking at my folders I now have an excess of 500+ files that now have underscores....

All in all I think your program(s) is one of the best I've used!

  4. Just use a program called rename to change back the _ to - and i suggest you use a working directory for the source you want to run through svcd2dvd.

  6. Guest
    That would be most appreciated!

For the record though - this issue will always be part of the process as it is something out of your control correct? Has anybody else had issue with this as I have been following the forum since getting your program and have not seen any posting(s) reporting this....

For sheer response to my questions\comments - you rock!

  7. DOH! Guest post was me not logged in....

Appreciate the 3 liner and also Yf's response ( I do have a "renamer" but looking for it might be more than it's worth)

Anyway if you could write that 3 liner I'd be most appreciative....
And now I know to work from "working" directories.....
