Stop encoding from DV to Mpeg4

Hi,

i'm trying to encode a DV file (digitalized analog VHS Material) to Mpeg4 or Mpeg2 (SVCD) .

If trying to convert it to Mpeg 4 , the converting process stops after 10 minutes of the film, if i'm trying to convert it to Mpeg2 the terminal window appears and there are some messages (no error messages) , the last one is : Press [q] to stop encoding .
And immediatley after that i got the prompt of the shell, it seems to be there is no action, i haven't found any Process (via ps....) .

I'm using OS X 2.6 , ffmepg 0.0.7d , and the latest versions of mpeg2enc.txt, mencoder and mplayer.

I also have installed these 3 package files .

Any ideas on what could have cause the problem ??

When encoding to mpeg-2 name your source file with a .mov extension.
