anyone else having problems with the new nero 6?

ive backed up a couple of dvd's and music cd's ok but ive had 2 dvd's now when ive tried doing a dvdcopy and after its read the target disc the programs just actualy closed, and gone off my screen, also i read one before and it came up internal target failure.

must admit i never had these problems with 5.5.10.42

anyone else had any probs?

I tried the demo for a few hours and by then I had enough. I uninstalled it and went back to Nero 5.x. Here are some of the problems I had:

1) DVD-Video discs did not burn correctly. I had problems with the menus in PowerDVD (you would select a chapter, and then the player would just hang). The exact same datafiles, burned using ImgTool/DVD Decrypter worked perfectly, so I know it's not my authoring program.

2) In order to accomplish #1 above, I unchecked all the ISO 9660 extensions in the ISO Tab of the compilation Properties dialog box. Then later I went to burn a normal data disc, and re-enabled all the extensions (long filenames, Joliet, etc.), but for some reason the program was stuck on straight ISO 9660. I double checked to make sure I had set the options correctly but it still wouldn't let me use long filenames or lower case letters in the compilation.

3) The new auto volume label generation scheme is incomprehensible and undocumented, and still isn't as good as the simple scheme used by RecordNow and Easy CD Creator. Why is it so hard to just encode the current date and time as the default volume label on a new compilation, e.g. 030726_1511? Even if you don't like the format, it at least guarantees that you always have a unique label by default with no extra typing required. It sure is better than "NEW". Having to hand generate volume labels is a pain.
