    Yo, folks!

Here is my problem. Using bitrate calc [dvdrhelp.com/calc] I can find correct bitrate for my SVCDs. But "SVCD Max Bitrate" tag contains higher value than TMPGEnc can accept (namely 2520 kbps). This Happens when I choose Audio bitrate smaller than 224 kbps. And it causes that not full volume of SVCD disc is used (file can be 50-100 MB greater and it still can fit onto CD-R 80).
Is there any formula how can I safely rise Bitrate when SVCD Maxbitrate is greater than 2520 kbps? I mean some ratio constant (I suppose I will need to calculate it for every movie, but it's O.K. to me...) or whatever.
Every suggestion will be highly appreciated. Bitrate is life & space should be used!
If I was not clear enough, just write here and I will elaborate deeper.

    THANX

  2. Some DVD players will have problems playing discs with a bitrate much above 2520kbps, others will play them ok. You will have to experiment. Load the unlock template you should then be able to increase the bitrate futher.

    Craig:

Tnx. But my idea is, that summation of video and audio bitrate must not exceed some value. Hence if I choose smaller audio bitrate then I can (accodringly) increase max video bitrate. Something like TMPGEnc Illegal VideoCD template...
